Valentine’s Glitter Bottles
Materials Needed:
Elmer’s Clear Glue
Glitter
Heart shaped confetti, beads, jewels, etc.
Clear bottle/jar with a tight lid
Warm or hot water
Valentine’s glitter bottles are a great sensory activity to do with the kids! Start by gathering your supplies, choosing small items like beads or confetti that are red, pink, purple, or whatever color you feel represents Valentine’s Day. Pour the bottle of glue into the empty bottle. Add in the glitter and other items you’d like to shake and watch sparkle or move in the bottle. Once you’ve added your materials, fill the rest of the bottle up with warm or hot water. Secure the cap onto the bottle and shake it to mix well. Once it’s done shaking, decide if you’d like to add more glitter or let the glitter fall and enjoy your new Valentine’s Glitter Bottle!

Valentine’s Soap Foam Letter Search
Materials Needed:
Dish soap
Water
Blender
This Valentine’s soap foam is a bubbly experience! By adding letter tiles to the foam, you can create an opportunity for your child to practice letter sounds, letter identification, or spelling words depending on your child’s skill level.
To make the soap foam, in a blender, add 2 tablespoons of dish soap to ¼ cup of water. Add in washable liquid watercolors (about 1 tablespoon or less) of your choice, though red will produce a hot-pink color. If you don’t have watercolors, you can use food coloring, though it will likely leave stains on your hands, clothes, etc. Blend the mixture to create a pink soap foam that fills the blender. Scoop about half out and transfer it into a large container or baking dish to play in. Blend the remaining mixture in the blender one more time to get more foam! Add this to the rest of the foam and begin setting up the letter search. There are many ways to play this game depending on which skills you are targeting! Add letter tiles to the soap foam and have your child search through the foam to find a letter. Once they do, have them say each letter, its sound, or build words as they go!

Valentine’s Sensory Painting
Materials Needed:
Baking dish or large tray
Shaving cream
Paints
Glitter
Stirrer
Have your child fill the container with shaving cream. You can use your hand or a spoon to flatten the shaving cream into the pan. Squirt tons of colorful pink, red, and purple paint and glitter into the container. If you’re worried about your child consuming any of the materials, substitute the shaving cream for whipped cream and paints for food coloring! Give your child a stirrer (straw, stick, etc.) and have them drag it through the shaving cream and watch the colorful swirls appear before your eyes! If you’re not worried about a messy activity, allow the child to use their hands to mix and squeeze the shaving cream until it turns into the same shade.
